RIP Franc Corrano

My first cousin Franc Corrano died early this morning. I don't have any of the details surrounding his passing. Franc was just a few months older than I was.
- I would also like to add that Facebook might not be the best place to let friends and family know a relative has passed away.

RIP Franco. Sally & Megan you are in my thoughts.

Halloween

Pre-Halloween we carved pumpkins, ate Halloween cookies & drank warm apple cider. Below are pics of our pumpkins!

Metallica - Target Center Minneapolis

Last night Troy & I attended our first Metallica concert together. This was Troy's 4th or 5th time seeing Metallica and only my second.

Our seats were pretty damn awesome. The price of beer - $7.50 with a 10pm cut off time was not. Troy would have prefered general admission because frankly I think he likes pushing people around. I'm a little short for that business.

Lamb of God opened - we only saw the last bit of that as we were enjoying some nice beers at the Rock Bottom Brewery.

Shortly after taking our seats some asshole with a mixed drink fell down the stadium seats and smashed thru us. If the railing hadn't been there, he would have been on his own downward spiral. His $7.50 mixed drink spilled all over me. I love going home smelling like booze. :)

The show itself was pretty typical Metallica. They wanted us to rock out to the Death Magnetic album, - but really everyone was there for the classics.

They played Ride The Lightning, One, Sanitarium, Master Of Puppets, Nothing Else Matters, Enter Sandman with an encore of Seek & Destroy. It was pretty classic Metallica.

Lars was a little douche.

Pine Tree Apple Orchard - White Bear Lake MN

We took a trip to the Pine Tree Apple Orchard - White Bear Lake, MN

The orchard offered hayrides, a cornmaze, pumpkin patch, pony rides & the most amazing baked apple items. - Apple pie, apple donuts, apple butter, apple cider, apple jam, apple pies, apple turnovers, apple syrup...and more! YUM.

After a tour of the pumpkin patch & run thru the cornmaze, we bought our honeycrips apples & ate carmel apples. It was pretty much all about the apples, except for Sam in the pumpkin patch.

A few pics from our trip:

Rice Lake State Park - Labor Day Weekend

With school about to begin, we thought it would be nice to take the kids on a back to school camping trip.
This was our first time staying at Rice Lake. The weather was absolutely beautiful for the 3 nights we spent camping.

Samantha found the largest puff-ball ever. "The Mother-Load" she called it.

We camped, hiked, canoed, cooked...and managed to get a little sleep.

Steele County Fair

On Saturday we took Braden to the Steele County Fair. Megan & Samantha spend the entire week with Aunt Becca in Owatonna enjoying the fair food & rides. - Lucky ducks had unlimited ride wristbands.

Not only did we get to see sheep wearing spandex, but we took a romantic ferris wheel ride & captured the elusive American Same-Same! Very rare indeed.

...and the rest of our trip.

The internet connections in Korea really aren't the best...and with 2 people blogging it seemed kind of redundant. If you haven't already checked out the rest of our trip to Korea (most of it anyway) head over to www.troylightfield.com

Be sure to check out the eel skinning video. That lady was really awesome.

All in all, Korea was the best trip I have ever been on. I would go back tomorrow if I could...in fact, returning to America was such a bummer, because of all the AMERICANS!
