Jesus's 2nd Birthday

Congratulations Jesus for having 2 birthdays! Lucky duck. To celebrate this special day, Troy and I headed north for a "romance weekend"
We boarded the dogs (and will never use that lady again- details later) so we could enjoy a weekend kid and dog free.
We reserved a room in Duluth to hike and explore the North Shore.

Bridesmaid Dresses

I took the girls shopping for their bridesmaid dresses on Sunday.
Both Megan & Samantha will be wearing dress #1. The other 3 bridesmaids can choose from the other styles. Everyone will be wearing black flats and I will be buying black wraps & accessories for the bridal party. I think the ladies will look very elegant in gun metal gray.

Wedding News

Ring, Dress, Bridesmaid Dresses, Planning, Planning, Spending, Planning.

We went wedding dress shopping over the weekend and found our winner. Its a beautiful lace, beaded A-line in light ivory. Very elegant with a timeless feel. Full chapel train that I will have bustled during the fitting.

This was the first dress I tried on. Swam thru gobs of lace, tulle and beading before deciding. I wasn't able to try it in vintage ivory, but I'm sure it will be stunning.

Minnesota Orchestra

I wasn't able to effectively add a 2nd blog to this one. So forget it, I'll just continue working with this one.

Troy and I attended the Minnesota Orchestra on Friday. We bought a 3 pack of tickets and will be attending every couple of months. I am really looking forward to Stravinsky's Rite of Spring.

Pretty good stuff and it's always fun to get dressed up.
We've got the kids coordinated on the same weekend now instead of having B every weekend. I have to admit it's nice to have a break.

Engagement

Yes. We are officially engaged! Troy surprised me over the holiday/birthday with a beautiful engagement ring. It's super hard to get a picture of the ring so I don't have one to post.
What I do know is that the diamond is 1.02 carats. Plenty big!
We plan on getting married late September or early October.

Christmas 2010

We had 2 Christmas's this year. The first at home, then off to South Dakota for more Xmas and even more...HUNTING!
