The Next Level

Imagine that - after a year, both of our leases are up! Having said that, we decided this would be a good time to consolidate our houses and buy something :)

It's been nice having our own places, but romantically & mentally we are ready to move on. Yep, having our own places was definitely something we both needed to do but onto the next level.

We've been looking in the district 196 area due to the kid's schools & pre-approval was not a problem. Apparently my credit scores rock! It only helps that I can put 10k down on something :)
There are TONS of great homes out there for almost dirt cheap. I'm actually excited the market is still down.

We've been looking at nice 3 level splits - the 4 bedroom 2 bath, corner lot, hot tub kind! There is one open now that backs up to a lake for only 199! I'm beside myself with how good the market looks for us & the amount of home we can buy for such a low price.

On another note, Troy has been out of town for an SEO summit in San Diego. We missed our clay class this week :( but oh well - Wish I could have joined him out there but instead we booked our SF trip to celebrate Flannery & Mike's union/baby.

Valentines Day

For Valentines Day dinner, Troy took me to the Meritage a french restaruant in St. Paul.

He showed up for our date in traditional style with a bouquet of flowers. - and a Valetines Day gift - This sweet diamond necklace - I'm sure it cost more than he should have spend, but he says "you deserve nice things"

If you look close, you can see the necklace in the pic.

Valet parking and 7 courses of declicious french food, a nice dry cab & port with our desert. It's nice to be spoiled. Thank-you babe!

Sam's Ears

Sam got her ears pierced a few weeks ago. She had a 15$ gift card from one of her friends and had been begging me to let her get her ears pierced.

South Dakota Christmas - Birthday etc

We left early for SD because Troys Grandfather passed away. Luckily we were ahead of the storm, which left us completely snowed in for 2.5 days. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & my Birthday. We were unable to leave the house :)

Christmas Tree

Troy helped us pick out & set up our Christmas Tree. This is the first time we have had a live tree pretty much ever. Sam was a big help and even strung lights on the deck this morning.

Thanksgiving 2009 - Deer Hunting in South Dakota

:) My first deer hunting trip in South Dakota. Thanksgiving day we were out from dawn till dusk and I shot my first deer. Went out again on Saturday - Troy's birthday. He shot a nice buck.

The buck ended up running to the bottom of the ravine. Troy & I had to drag him quite a ways back up as the truck couldn't navigate the terrain. Too bad we didn't have enough rope in the truck....ahem.

Samanthas 12th Birthday

Samanthas Birthday lasted the entire weekend.
We started out on Friday with a sleepover - 4 of her closest friends screaming and giggling until at least 2:30am. I did go in around 2:15 and ask them what part of shut the hell up they didn't understand.

Saturday was Twilight Movie day.

Sunday we had Sam's requested meal:
Roast, Potatoes, Carrots, Green Bean Casserole, Brown & Serve Rolls & Cherry Pie.
